PRESS: Producers to retain fixes prices for sugar till end-Sep

MOSCOW, May 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Agriculture Ministry has unofficially recommended farm producers to continue selling sugar at 36 rubles per kilogram until the end of September, Vedomosti business daily reported on Tuesday citing representatives of the companies.

The move will help to seize rapid inflation of the commodity after the prices stabilization agreement expires on June 1.

The government signed agreements with local producers to stabilize prices for sugar and sunflower oil in December 2020.
